Privacy Policy

Overview

Housabl ("we", "us", "our") builds a household management app that helps you and the people you live with track bills, medications and vitals, groceries, devices, loans, and documents in one place. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected.

Housabl is built household-first: your data belongs to your household. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to serve you third-party advertising.

Data we collect

What we collect depends on which parts of the app you use:

• Account data: email address and authentication details, handled through our backend provider (Supabase).
• Household content you enter: bills and budget entries, medications, prescriptions and vitals readings, grocery lists, appliance and device records, loan and EMI details, and documents or receipts you upload or photograph.
• Health data: if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, we read the specific metrics you authorize (for example heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, oxygen saturation, weight, or body temperature) to display alongside your household's vitals records.
• Device permissions: camera (to photograph documents and receipts), microphone and speech recognition (for voice capture of entries), calendar (to sync appointments), and local network access (to control connected smart-home devices you've added).
• Device and usage data: push-notification tokens (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you reminders, and basic diagnostic data needed to keep the app running.

We only request the device permissions a feature actually needs, and you can decline any of them — the related feature simply won't work until it's granted.

How we use your data

• To store and sync your household's records across your devices, including offline.
• To power features you opt into, such as AI-assisted insight on vitals trends, anomaly detection on recurring bills, and renewal or restock reminders. These run against your household's own data — not pooled across other households.
• To send reminders and notifications you've enabled.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

Who can see your data

Data you add is visible to the household members you share it with, based on what's relevant to them — not automatically to everyone in the household. We do not share your personal or household data with advertisers or data brokers.

We use the following service providers to operate Housabl, each processing data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery.

Data security

Documents, health records, and other sensitive content are stored in a secured, access-controlled backend. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Where the app stores data locally for offline use, that data stays on your device until it syncs.

Your choices

• You can export your household's data at any time from within the app.
• You can delete individual records, or request deletion of your account and associated data, by contacting us at hello@housabl.app.
• You can revoke device permissions (camera, microphone, calendar, health, notifications) at any time from your device settings.

Children's privacy

Housabl is intended for use by adults managing a household. If Housabl is used to track a child's information (for example, medication or growth data) as part of a family household, that data is managed by the parent or guardian's account and is subject to the same protections described here.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if how we handle data changes materially, and update the date at the top. Continued use of Housabl after a change means you accept the updated policy.
